Privacy policy

This policy explains what SpotAClone (“we”) does with information when you use this website, the checker and the API. The short version: we analyse your audio and delete it immediately; we don't store recordings.
Audio you upload or record
- Audio is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our analysis service, processed in memory, and deleted as soon as the check finishes.
- We do not keep copies, do not listen to it, and do not use it to train models. Every API response includes
audio_retained: false. - Recording from your microphone only starts after you press the consent button, stops at 60 seconds, and nothing is sent until you press Check.
- Only upload audio you are entitled to share. Voice recordings can contain personal data about other people.
What we do keep
- Usage counters needed to apply plan limits (for example, how many checks were used today), linked to a licence key or a short-lived device or network identifier.
- Result metadata without audio (verdict, duration, processing time) to monitor quality and abuse.
- Technical logs such as IP address and timestamps, kept briefly for security and fraud prevention.
- Your licence key and theme choice are stored in your own browser (localStorage keys
vx_license,vx_theme). You can remove them by clearing site data.
Payments
Payments are handled by our payment partner. We do not see or store your full card or bank details. The partner's own privacy policy applies to the payment step.
Cookies and tracking
This website uses no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts are served from this site, not a third party.
Your rights (including under India's DPDP Act, 2023)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other laws that apply to you, you can ask to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. Because we don't keep audio, there is usually very little to return. Email support@spotaclone.xyz; we aim to respond within 30 days.
Children
The service is not directed at children. A parent or guardian should run checks on a child's behalf.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, note it on the homepage.
